A restaurant in London has the first menu only to use WhatsApp emoji.
A restaurant in London is the first with a nemoji menu. Thinking that any customer can ask for the menu items through WhatsApp.
The Yellow Door, which is the name of this pop-up restaurant, is located in Notting Hill, in a shared apartment. It will be there all summer and may only place orders through WhatsApp.
Kamran Dehdashti, the owner, came up with the idea of an emoji menu as a way to interact with customers. So customers would have to decipher the dishes and would be more motivated to try things.
The two course menu, which includes a cocktail, costs £15. Some dishes will need to be decrypted, while others are simpler.
For example, “buffalo chicken wings with raw vegetables and blue cheese sauce is not as easy to decipher as a simple “chicken with fries”.
At present, the menu includes beef, chicken and vegetarian dishes. Impossible to get bored.
