A bunch of grapes in Japan has sold for 9500 Euros,breaking last year´s when a similar bunch sold for almost 8000 euros. It is a bunch of grapes of the Ruby Roman variety, produced in Ishikawa Prefecture. This time we can say that the grape comes almost 300 euros.

In the culture of this country, the possession of such grapes is a symbol of status and social prestige, and is the reason why an annual auction is held for this grape. This year they were purchased by a business in the west of the country paying 1.1M yen, or equivalent to nearly 9,500 euros.
Strangely, it is a grape that first began to be cultivated in the nineties. The first production was at the end of the last decade, so it´s not an esteemed product in the Japanese culture.
The grapes are large, more or less the size of a ping-pong ball. Among its features, besides the colour, they must have a minimum of 18% sugar to be suitable.
