Finca Moncloa triumphs in the Peñín Guide
The latest edition of the Peñín Guide, one of the most internationally acclaimed Spanish wine publications, has established Finca Moncloa as the reference winery in the Tierra de Cádiz wine region. The scores awarded to Tintilla Rota 2013 –94 points– and Finca Moncloa 2012 –92 points– mean the recognition of the uniqueness of these highly expressive, unique wines –a perfect reflection of their terroir: the lands of Cadiz.
The personality of the Finca Moncloa wines have very positively impressed the Peñín tasting committee, made up of four wine experts, who have highlighted the temperament and rareness of the Tintilla de Rota Dulce grape and the character and persistence present in Finca Moncloa.
Located in Arcos de la Frontera, winery Finca Moncloa represents the recovery of virtually lost traditions: the making of a quality red wine in the lands of Cadiz suing Tintilla de Rota, an almost vanished native grape variety, which has newly flourished in the area thanks to the commitment of the González family. Since its founding in 2000, Finca Moncloa has based its vision on the uniqueness of its vineyards and the quality of the winemaking process, which has crystallised in some extraordinary wines.
