Jeannie Cho Lee honors Don Melchor 2012 with an extraordinary 94 points
One of Asia’s most influential and respected wine journalists, Jeannie Cho Lee MW recently published an article on the Chilean wine industry in which she gave the 2012 Don Melchor 94 points.
In the article, which appeared on Forbes Asia magazine’s web site, Jeannie Cho Lee defined Don Melchor as a complex and well-balanced wine and included it among Chile’s top eight wines, thereby adding yet another great accolade for the icon Cabernet Sauvignon from Alto Maipo.
The renowned journalist and wine critic is the founder and CEO of the LE PAN magazine and wasAsia’s first Master of Wine. She has since written two books and is a correspondent for publications such as Wine Spectator, Decanter, The World of Fine Wine, Wine & Dine, Wine Business International, and la Revue du Vin, among others, and is a regular participant as a judge for the Decanter World Wine Awards. She is currently host of In Vino Veritas, one of Hong Kong’s most popular television programs.
Ms. Lee visited Chile while filming for the program’s third season and met with Don Melchor winemaker Enrique Tirado, who will appear in one of the episodes on Chile and will tell the story behind Don Melchor, one of the great wines of the world.
