
Don Melchor launches 2012 vintage in Brazil
The Don Melchor team completed a successful tour, conducting activities with the brand between August 8-12 in four of the largest cities in Brazil.
Upon his arrival in Brasilia, Enrique Tirado led a wine dinner with industry journalists and clients in which he officially presented the 2012 vintage of Don Melchor.
The next day, the oenologist traveled to Porto Alegre, where he had lunch with clients and the owners of some of the most important restaurants in the city, before meeting with journalists. He finished the day at a pairing dinner with members of the Don Melchor brotherhood, among other guests.
In Rio de Janeiro, Tirado presented the 26th vintage of the iconic Cabernet Sauvignon from the Maipo Valley to members of the Don Melchor brotherhood in that city, before conducting interviews with journalists, meeting buyers and signing some Don Melchor bottles.
Finally, in Sao Paulo, Tirado met with important players from both on-trade and off-trade, as well as conducting training for sommeliers at the Brazilian Association of Sommelierswhich enabled him to convey the virtues of the 2012 vintage. The wine was qualified by its winemaker as very expressive with red fruit flavors, good structure and progression which demonstrates great freshness in terms of taste and aroma.
To finalize this successful tour, Enrique participated in a wine dinner at the Ville du Vin Alphavillewine store during which he presented the 2011 and 2012 vintages of Don Melchor, before returning to Chile.
