
Carlos Moro Winery presents its first wines Vinos de Finca, a limited collection of three references that include the best of this brand made on Appellations of Origin Rueda (Finca Las Marcas), Cigales (Finca Valdehierro) and Toro (Finca Valmediano).
While waiting for the release the market of the first vintage of the Rioja wines made in the winery Carlos Moro in San Vicente de la Sonsierra (Rioja), which will happen in mid-2017, the collection of Carlos Moro Family Wines launches a first selection coming from the best Pagos and aged on the best barrels of these three Appellations of Origin among the best DO’s in the country.
The brand Carlos Moro Family Wines lands these wines thanks to a high selection of grapes from the vineyard to the cellar, and the care and attention in the elaboration process. This collection does not exceed 30,000 bottles.
Carlos Moro Vinos de Finca are three different wines that reflect a commitment to the pursuit of oenological excellence and passion for the terroir, expressed in these wines “Carlos Moro Finca Las Marcas” (DO Rueda), “Carlos Moro Finca Valdehierro “(Cigales) and” Carlos Moro Finca Valmediano “(DO Toro). A selection serving at the same time, as a starting point for the future wine range that will include wines from the winery Carlos Moro in the DOCa Rioja, which is completed now with Rento, the signature wine elaborated by Grupo Matarromera in the heart of the Golden Mile of Ribera del Duero.

The winery is located on a hillside with excellent views of the town and an environment of great scenic and cultural value. Its location, surrounded by vineyards, with different levels between the various units of production, aging, bottling and forwarding, allows the handling of grapes and wine racking by gravity.
It highlights its underground depth of 1,200 m2 with capacity for more than 2,000 barrels allowing natural breeding and homogeneous form throughout the year, since the optimum temperature and humidity conditions, regardless of the weather outside without dependence on industrial refrigeration equipment and / or air conditioning.
Bodega Carlos Moro also responds to the company´s commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment. In that line the winery will feature a biomass boiler.
The winery also open its doors to wine tourism, becoming a close and accessible winery for its enviable geographical location for visitors and tourists, and to promote a wine culture reference area for decades.
GRUPO MATARROMERA enters in the Qualified Denomination of Origen Rioja with the creation of a new winery in the town of San Vicente de Sonsierra, in the hearth of La Rioja Alta.
Matarromera Group will expand its wine making business to eight wineries, of which seven are located in Castilla y León and one in La Rioja, and will extend its presence to six Denominations of Origen: Ribera del Duero, Toro, Cigales, Rueda, Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León and Rioja.
